Kalamazoo, Mich. — Kalamazoo is proud to host the Big League Softball World Series for a consecutive 30th year at Vanderberg Park this weekend.

This is more than just the “Sandlot” — 10 teams battled their way to get here. Regional champions from Canada, Europe, South America, and Asia will compete against each other plus five U.S. regional champs and the hometown team Michigan District 2. The championship consists of 45 round-robin games to be played between Aug. 5-10.

This softball tournament is a big deal. Crowds at this have gotten so big over the last three decades that ESPN will be broadcasting the championship game LIVE on ESPN 2. The live event will start on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Don’t miss the Parade of Champions 6 p.m. on Aug. 11.
