Hickory Corners, Mich. – Follow Discover Kalamazoo’s Miles Baxter and Kayla Kiley as they take a trip back in time at the Gilmore Car Museum.
The museum, which opened in 1966, was voted one of the top five best automobile museums in the U.S. by Antique Automobile magazine. It features more than 300 cars spanning more than 100 years.
At the museum, you’ll find everything from an 1899 Locomobile, classic Duesenberg and the elusive Tucker ’48 to the Model T and muscle cars of the 60s and 70s. The site also features an 1890s train depot, 1930s gas station, a working 1940s diner, the Pierce-Arrow Museum, a Kalamazoo-made car collection, and the vintage Disney movie set from “The Gnome Mobile.
