Fly Girls of WWII

Portage, Mich. — Keeping with a patriotic theme this weekend, make sure to take the family to see The Fly Girls of World War II at the Air Zoo — a traveling exhibit featuring the inspirational history of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) from now through Aug. 31, 2010.

This small, but very powerful, display of personal stories, original uniforms, and photos also includes a unique mosaic of all the 1,102 WASPs.

And, of course, once you’re there, you’ll want to check out everything else the Air Zoo has to offer – especially those fabulous flight simulators. Up, up and away!
