Here in Kalamazoo, we try not to let the cold keep us from getting out and about on the weekends! Check out these events happening outdoors during this last weekend in February.

Portage Millennium Ice Rink
February 26, 8pm-11pm

No school on February 27 means late night fun and excitement at the ice rink. Bring your friends and skate under the stars, as we pump out prizes and dim down the lights. Colorful lighting and upbeat music will compliment this electrifying skating event.

Portage Central High School

Join in this extraordinary community celebration of health and wellness as Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage present the 3rd annual Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon and 5k. Enjoy the wintery views as hundreds of fellow runners make their journey through the Portage trail system and along local roads. Post-race refreshments, entertainment and awards will be available at the Portage Central High School commons area.

This mini winter festival celebrates the sport of disc golf and the impact that individuals from Kalamazoo have made on the national sport of disc golf. Several different activities will be included in this event such as: a nine-hole mini disc golf course, accuracy challenges, kid-friendly activities, and the entertainment value of watching disc golf played downtown.
