Recreation & Parks

Open the Door to Adventure.

Winter, spring, summer or fall, we’ll open the door to adventure. Fish, swim, water ski, sail or boat in one of Kalamazoo County’s 83 lakes with public access. Or feel the sand in your toes along the majestic shores of Lake Michigan—just a 45-minute drive away.

Around every corner here, there is a park or trail with areas for family picnics, biking, hiking, or horseback riding. When the snow flies, welcome to our winter wonderland. Head to our local ski resorts and toboggan runs, or hit the trails for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
