Top 8 Things To Do This Weekend- Sept. 16-18

We’re turning parking spaces into temporary parks, rallying food trucks until 1:00 am and celebrating 20 amazing years of one of Kalamazoo’s most favorite breweries! You don’t want to miss all of the exciting things happening this week.

 

PARK(ing) Day

an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. Nine parking spots in downtown Kalamazoo will be transformed and allow residents and visitors to have a little fun during their afternoons. Activities ranging from ladder ball, hula hooping,  storytelling, yoga, jump roping, and board games will be available in the parks, which will be transformed from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.

Model A Day

The Gilmore Car Museum is the proud home of the Model A Ford Museum, the world’s largest museum dedicated solely to the Model A! On Saturday, September 17th, hop in your Model A and head out to the Gilmore Car Museum for the 4th annual Ford Model A Day and celebrate the heritage of a trusty American car with friends and family.
