What is it?

The Kalamazoo Tourism Ambassador Program is an interactive program to educate and inspire front-line employees and volunteers so they may turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience.

 

Who benefits?

Everyone benefits - the visitor, the industry, the local economy, the employer and, most importantly, the front-line worker.

 

Employers will benefit from the Kalamazoo Tourism Ambassador Program as it teaches their employees and volunteers best practices and ensures they understand their role in increasing tourism. The Certified Tourism Ambassador ProgramTM  helps those on the front-line increase their knowledge of the region; provides answers to the variety of questions visitors ask; offers participants a chance to learn from each other's experiences, network and celebrate together.

 

Employees and volunteers will aditionally benefit from the Kalamazoo Tourism Ambassador Program because it's not just training, its certification. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a creditial and acccompanying initals of CTA, which provides the tools and knowledge necessary to create a more memorable visitor experience.

 

Discover Kalamazoo presents the official CTA Designation on behalf of the Tourism Ambassador InstituteTM the national oversight body for this certification program.
