An action-packed weekend with a truly unique blend of rods, customs, muscle cars and specialty vehicles offering something for everyone. Plus, every vehicle entering the event will be eligible for any and all awards and giveaways presented during the weekend.
In case you’re not convinced as to why you should attend this special event, here are five fun facts about the Street Rod Nationals North in Kalamazoo!
1 – The top Pro pick car for 2019 was built in 114 days and 10,000 man-hours, but most cars take about 1-2 years to build.
2 – A variety of cars and trucks in attendance ranging in value from $8,000 to $100,000 each with an average of $28,000 per vehicle. A total worth of over $70 million dollars in attendance.
3 – A street rod and a hot rod are not one in the same! A street rod is a vehicle manufactured prior to 1949, that has been modified for travel on today’s highways. A hot rod would be the same except for a post 1949 vehicle. Most Street Rods at the show are from the 30’s and 40’s but you will see a few from the teens and 20’s.

4 – The show gets many cars from Canada every year, the longest distance last year was from Fort Myers FL. Participants come from all over the east coast states to the mid-west states.
5 – Some members still have and drive the same car they did in high school 40-50 years ago!
