Halloween in Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, Mich. – I am such a chicken. So of course I feel like the entire month of October – where everything is spooky and covered in spider webs – is out to get me.

After hearing that, you’d think that a haunted forest is the last place I’d ever be caught dead in (pun intended). But, alas, my friends convinced me to go with them to the Psycho Ward at the Kalamazoo Speedway.

I like the idea of a haunted forest, where you can feel the leaves crunch under your feet and see your breath in the cool fall air – not to mention there are an unlimited amount of escape options to run out screaming!

While terrifying, it was a good experience, and I encourage everyone to bring out their inner daredevil and give haunted experiences a try. Each year in October, there are tons of local Halloween-themed activities going on for all ages.
