September is one of the most exciting months out of the year! Among the many other awesome things happening in September, this week you can enjoy the annual NSRA Street Rods Nationals, Art Hop , a drive-in movie and much more.


37th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals North 

See more than 2600 street rods, muscle cars, custom and specialty vehicles all thirty years old and older. Plus manufacturer exhibits, arts & crafts, vintage parts, swap meet, live entertainment, good food and a whole lot more!

Art Hop

A free event held on the first Friday of every month, Art Hop is an evening of art exhibits and events; one of the great things to do in Kalamazoo. It’s fun, interactive and a great way to explore downtown that you can do alone, with friends or family, and you don’t have to be “artist” to enjoy it!

Gilmore Car Museum’s Drive-In Movie

The Museum Campus will open for a “cruise-in” style gathering at 6pm with concessions available and the movie will hit the big screen at 8pm. Drive your classic or modern vehicle, cars will be able to park “drive-in” style for the film on the Historic Campus! Or, bring your lawn chairs and blankets and pull up a spot of grass and enjoy the movie out on the lawn.

Due to the poor weekend weather forecast, the Gilmore Car Museum‘s Movie Night has been POSTPONED and RESCHEDULED for Saturday, October 1st at 7:30pm!

Southwest Michigan Ballroom Dance

Terry Worrall will teach a one-hour lesson in the snappy cha-cha at 2:30 p.m. Open dancing with DJ Dan Stratton is from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. All levels of dancers, beginners, couples and singles welcome. A free dance lesson will also be raffled.
