The Epic Center is home for the arts in Kalamazoo. The Arts Council, Black Arts Cultural Center, Crescendo Academy of Music, Fontana Chamber Arts, Gilmore International Piano Festival, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Public Media Network and more are located here.
The 89,000 square foot building is designed in Industrial Art Deco style and houses numerous meeting rooms and two theatres, the Judy K. Jolliffe Theatre and Wellspring Theater.
The Epic Theatre offers versatile black box seating, providing a cozy setting for your event. This theatre is ideal for receptions, performances, training sessions and presentations.
The Wellspring Theater offers an intimate 120-seat theatre with sprung wood floor and innovative lighting and sound equipment. The Wellspring Theater is perfect for ceremonies, meetings, performances and receptions.
The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (ACGK) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the cultural life in greater Kalamazoo. Founded in 1966, the ACGK’s mission is to support, promote and fund the arts in Kalamazoo County. Our members include arts organizations, individual artists and arts lovers. We accomplish our mission through arts management services, grant programs, education, advocacy, arts council programs and event promotion.
