Description
Fontana is a Kalamazoo-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to the presentation of high quality traditional and nontraditional chamber music performances, community outreach, the commissioning of new works for small ensembles, and collaboration with other arts presenters.
Fontana's diverse programming features an extensive array of world-renowned performers—both established and emerging—ranging from classical to contemporary to jazz.
Delivered in traditional as well as alternative settings, Fontana presents a mainstage concert series from September through May, consisting of 4-6 performances held primarily at the Dalton Center Recital Hall on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Our free Crybaby Concerts serve families with infants and toddlers, introducing live music in a setting where crying and even the occasional tantrum are heartily tolerated. Every other year, Fontana collaborates with the I.S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival to present contemporary keyboard jazz concerts.
