Kalamazoo Valley Museum
The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is a barrier free facility utilize a variety of measure to create by physical and intellectual accessibility including but not limited to the following:
- No curb at main drop off in front of the museum
- Power operated door openers
- Elevator
- Braille signage
- A few tactile (full touch exhibits) for blind and low-vision guests
- Audio tours launched through QR via guests mobile device
- Greater use of closed caption and audio on gallery video kiosks
- Sensory kits at the front desk for guests who are autistic includes headphones, weighed scarfs and other devices
- Planetarium shows scheduled that lower lighting and sound levels for guests [currently not in operations during the pandemic]
- Special events that have ASL interpreters
- Audio assistant devices in the planetarium and theater spaces
- Special guided tours can be scheduled with person with special needs

Gilmore Car Museum
- Complimentary wheelchairs and we have electric scooters available as well for $15 a day rental
- Visitor friendly for the hearing impaired as all of the vehicle and museum information is visually available on maps, flyers, curb signs or banners on site
- Allow seeing eye dogs for the visually impaired
Gull Meadow Farms
KultureCity Certified Sensory Inclusive Venue
- Sensory Bags available that include headphones to use in the loud areas and fidget toys to help maintain focus
- Staff wear bright orange shirts that indicate who to go to for questions or help
- Designated quiet area
W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary
The Sanctuary’s main, paved path is accessible allowing for some great up close views of the birds, but in some areas the grades of the hills are steeper and assistance may be required.
