Mike Birbiglia's - My Girlfriend's Boyfriend
In the third grade I won the "Author of the Month" at St. Mary's School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts for a poem I wrote about bears and Thanksgiving. At the time my aspirations were to become a poet, a teacher, or the owner of a pizza restaurant where third graders could hang out.
At Georgetown I won the “Funniest Person on Campus" contest and the chance to perform at the D.C. Improv. They were so impressed they hired me to bus tables.
From there I took my jokes to New York City, where I was fired as a temp at Pfizer for repeatedly falling asleep at my desk. I proceeded to drive my mom’s old station wagon to comedy clubs all over America until my mechanic would no longer take my calls.
Since that time I’ve had three Comedy Central Presents specials and appeared a bunch of times on Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon. I was even on The View once with Nathan Lane to chat about my Off-Broadway show, Sleepwalk with Me. I’ve performed three times at Bonnaroo, the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the Kilkenny Arts Festival, and brought my brother Joe, America’s guest, to the Aspen U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. I'm also a regular contributor on This American Life and The Bob & Tom Show and I wrote this book.
Currently I'm preparing to take my most recent off-Broadway show, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend on tour. Hope to see you there!

Infrared Photography by Christopher Light
In this exhibition of his recent work, photographer Christopher Light explores the urban and natural world through infrared digital photographs. The human eye can see only a very small portion of the entire light spectrum. The portion of the spectrum with frequencies just below the lowest visible red light (longer wave lengths) is referred to as "infrared." Although invisible to the eye, digital cameras are sensitive to infrared light. Photographs taken with infrared light seem at once precise (due to the absence of atmospheric haze) and dreamlike (skies appear dark and natural foliage-tree leaves and grass-appear very light as they reflect the infrared light).
A Kalamazoo native, Christopher Light grew up with a darkroom and the use of his father's 4 x 5 camera. He earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and worked first as a newspaper reporter-photographer the later as a college professor and free-lance writer for the early microcomputer magazines.

Murders of 1940
Complete with secret passageways, flickering lights and the blizzard of the century, this laugh-filled farce spoofs the great murder mystery movies of the 1940’s. As the murderous mayhem unfolds, an eccentric heiress has agreed to work with the New York police to solve a series of murders. She invites a group of theatre people to her home on the pretense of holding a backer’s audition for a new musical. The creative team for this new project had also been involved in Manhattan Musical, a production that closed abruptly when three of its showgirls were mysteriously murdered. It’s not long before bodies are dropping once again and everyone’s a suspect. Will the mystery of the Stage Door Slasher be untangled before it’s too late?

Superior Donuts
From Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Tracy Letts comes his new play, Superior Donuts, premiering this February. When Franco Wicks, an idealistic African-American teenager, comes to work for him, Arthur is skeptical of his ideas to improve the business. But over time, the two form an unlikely bond as this deliciously funny and thought-provoking work explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship. Cloud Nine
Act One takes place in British colonial Africa and features a man playing the mistress of the household, a white actor playing a black servant, and a doll playing the well-behaved daughter. Act Two is 100 years later in London, but the characters have only aged 25 years, as they explore their sexual identities through everything from heterosexual adultery to bisexual incest. This is Caryl Churchill’s outrageous satirical farce, one of the sharpest, politicized and funniest plays ever written. While The New York Times called the original Broadway production “ an evening of inspired lunacy,” Caryl Churchill has emerged of one of the most successful, respected and insightful playwrights of her – or any – generation.
