PROMOTE YOUR EVENT IN KALAMAZOO
Prior to submitting your event, please review and follow the Event Guidelines outlined below.
The Discover Kalamazoo online calendar is a source for fun events, entertainment, and activities in Kalamazoo County, MI.
Not all events will qualify for submission. If your event meets the guidelines, use the form below to submit your event. Discover Kalamazoo will typically review and approve or deny your request within 48 business hours.
Policy for Inclusion
The event must be of interest to visitors and:
- It must be open to the public.
- It must take place in Kalamazoo County.
- Language and photos must be appropriate for all ages.
- Listings must be for events that have appeal to visitors to Kalamazoo County.
- Events must have firm dates established.
- All submission forms must be filled out entirely, including event description, photos (size 1200x800 px or a 3:2 ratio preferred) and contact information. Forms with blank entry fields or no descriptions will not be processed for posting.
Event Exclusions
If your event does not get accepted to our calendar, here are some of the most common reasons:
- Not appropriate for our visitors’ audience, or out of area.
- Not enough lead-time prior to the event.
- Incomplete or non-descriptive submissions.
These types of events are NOT accepted:
- Networking or business training events (such as chamber meetings, award banquets and socials)
- Political events and rallies
- Religious-affiliated events (such as church services, religious celebrations, religious practices, etc)
- Fundraising events
- Auditions, recitals, k-12 school performances
- Long term classes/ workshops that do not have a drop in option or summer camps
- Golf outings
- Retail store sales, book sales, discounts, trunk shows, yard sales, or estate sales*
- Dining specials (special events such as murder mystery dinner, watch parties, chef dinners, and holiday specials are accepted)*
*A Note on Promotions & Packages
Kalamazoo County partners have the exclusive benefit of adding promotions and packages to their partner profile listings via the Extranet. These include special featured products, limited time offers, tap takeovers, bundled lodging or activity packages, discounts or giveaways and happy hours. Some promotions will not qualify.
Discover Kalamazoo retains the right to edit and publish events at our discretion. Repeat or ongoing events may be consolidated into single listings. Event selection criteria may change without notice. The event organizer who posts the information is responsible for accuracy. Any changes in date, location, pricing, etc. must be updated by those who post the event.
