South Westnedge Park

This facility showcases a myriad of amenities you may not have known about. Most notably they feature many softball/baseball diamonds for public use. Closer to the back, you can find an in-line skating rink and a “street plaza” style concrete skatepark. If you’re in need of a rest, then you can sit at one of the picnic tables or get some shade under the pavilion. It also caters to furry friends with two dog parks: one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. In the past, it’s even hosted events like the Canine Carnival!
Maple Hill Trail

On the west side of Markin Glen County Park resides the Maple Hill Trail featuring about 4.5 miles of mountain bike specific trail. The trail uses about 80 acres of undeveloped park property and is perfect for beginners to advanced mountain bikers. It has everything from fast-dowhills to pristine rock features to ensure the best experience for all. At the trailhead, there are changing stations, drinking water, a pavilion, and bike parking to relax before or after your ride. Versluis/Dickinson Softball Complex

Want to get some batting practice in, this facility is perfect for you! Featuring over 12 softball/baseball/tee ball diamonds, this venue is perfect for all ages and skill levels. The area has ample parking for anyone that wants to catch a game and families can take advantage of the public bathrooms and shaded picnic spots. It hosts popular events like the Can-Am softball Tournament and the Annual Winter Rugby Tournament. With its amazing location and well-maintained fields, it is the perfect place for a day of play!
Red Arrow Golf Course

Novice and experienced golf players will enjoy the beauty of the Red Arrow Golf Course. It has both 9 and 18 hole quick-play courses that help players work on their short game and its low cost fees make it accessible to all types of golf enthusiasts. It also hosts events throughout the year like the KJGA/Red Arrow Benefit so check the Kalamazoo Municipal Golf Association to find out exactly when. Additionally, it is a 1 mile walking course that can double for foot golf. So soccer aficionados can take part in this facility as well adding diversity to the experience and catering to a range of interests.
Oshtemo Township Park

Nature lovers will love the serenity of Oshtemo Township Park. It showcases an 18-hole disc golf course going through the natural woody landscape. The park also holds wiffle ball fields and tennis/pickleball courts as well as a rain garden and a playground. Visitors can relax at the picnic tables and or take a serene walk through the walking trails, making it a great facility for recreation and relaxation. The park regularly hosts concerts in its “Music in the Park” series that are perfect for families looking to fill their evening. People can bring chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners and enjoy some terrific tunes from groups like the Blue Water Ramblers and The Iconix.
