The Kalamazoo Promise
Announced in 2005 by Dr. Janice Brown, The Kalamazoo Promise is a transformational investment into the students of the Kalamazoo community. When a student attends and graduates from a Kalamazoo Public School, they will receive up to 100% tuition and mandatory fees paid for any in-state public community college or university, trade school, or vocational program. This scholarship program is unlike any other. It inspires and encourages the youth of Kalamazoo to follow their dreams and passions, uplifting the community and bringing together businesses, organizations, families, and each individual within the city of Kalamazoo.
