MacKenzie’s Bakery
The MacKenzies of Kalamazoo are third-generation bakers. Tracing their origins to the 1920’s, when their grandparents, Henry Woods “Cap” and Nona MacKenzie lived on a farm on M-140 between South Haven and Covert. Grandpa built a roadside stand from which they sold farm produce. Grandma began making bread, potato fried cakes, sweet rolls and pies. They still have her original recipe for the fried cakes!

Their professional pastry chefs will ensure your cake will be a scrumptious and beautiful centerpiece to any special occasion. Bert’s Bakery also produces many other types of fine pastry, if your sweet tooth aches for more than cake.

The Food Dance Market stocks freshly made baked goods daily, like their signature Cat’s Meow.
