When summer comes around, everyone is ready to be outdoors, feel the sunshine, and enjoy the beautiful weather in Kalamazoo County. There’s nothing like rocking out at a local venue to the sounds of summer! The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo is a proud sponsor of the annual - and free! - Summertime Live Concert Series. This concert series includes, but is not limited to:

Concerts in the Park

A family-friendly concert series in Bronson Park, Concerts in the Park is great for picnicking and enjoying the summer vibes of Downtown Kalamazoo. From performances by the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra to local jazz ensembles, visitors will enjoy different genres of music during each performance.

Beats on Bates

Take advantage of the Social District as you indulge in a meal and drinks in Bates Alley while you listen to local performers of a variety of genres. You’ll be able to dance through the evening and enjoy the beautiful lights of the Alley!

BURG’ Days of Summer

Nothing brings a community together better than a weekly music event. Food trucks, an expansive social district, and a multitude of performers make the BURG’ Days of Summer the liveliest summer event in Vicksburg.

Friday at the Flats

Taking place at the Celery Flats Pavilion in Portage, Friday at the Flats is a vibrant summer event with amazing music, a multitude of food trucks, and a beautiful venue. Visitors will feel like they are getting an exclusive concert performance due to the beauty and history of the park.

Kindleberger Park

The Kindleberger Arts Commission is always excited to bring a unique array of music genres to their Summer Concert Series. From the Kalamazoo Scottish Festival Pipe Band to the Otsego Jazz Ensemble, concertgoers will enjoy the sounds local to Kalamazoo County.

Lunchtime Live!

Boasting live entertainers, vendors, and food trucks lining Bronson Park, Lunchtime Live! is the perfect way to kick off the weekend during the summer season. Happening on Fridays throughout the summer, this concert series is great for spending time with friends while taking in the summer atmosphere.

Wednesday Night Cruise-Ins at the Gilmore Car Museum

This free event is open to everyone! Listen to a variety of performers while admiring all types of different vehicles that have cruised in for the evening. With plenty of food and great vibes, this summer experience is a must-see!

It wouldn’t be summer with only one concert series. In addition to the Summertime Live Concert Series, music lovers also enjoy Bell’s Beer Garden Summer Concert Series. With specialty concert foods and plenty of beer to go around, all in the stunning Beer Garden, Bell’s Brewery is a wonderful place to be for a summer experience. Presidential Brewing Company also hosts a summer concert series in their outdoor patio, where you can also play putt-putt.
