From January 31-February 2, more than 2000 athletes from across the Midwest and the Pacific Coast will visit Kalamazoo for the 2019 Midwestern and Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships! Teams will be competing for a spot at the US Synchronized Skating Championships.

Come to Wings Event Center to see this amazing sport!

Synchronized skating is a precision team sport that was established in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1956. Since its inception, it has become the fastest growing discipline in figure skating. Kalamazoo was awarded the opportunity to host this event mainly due to the strength of the Greater Kalamazoo Skating Association (GKSA) as a club, the outstanding ice facilities and the city’s vibrant community!

Go here to learn more about GKSA. They have opportunities available to skaters of all ages, abilities and interests. One of those programs is their Learn to Skate USA program.
